Biography of the Speaker
Jameel Ahmed (Member, IEEE) received a B.S. degree in electronic engineering from the NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan, and the Ph.D. degree in communication engineering from Pakistan and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He also received two Postdoctorate Fellowships from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), NTU. He is currently a Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Riphah International University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has 27 years of professional experience in undergraduate and graduate-level teaching, research, and management. He has published more than 50 research publications at the National and international level and also authored/co-authored eight books/handbooks including three by Springer-Verlag. He is a member of IEEE-USA and its three societies. He is also an elected member of the Board of Governors (BoG), Engineering Accreditation Board (EAB), and Engineering Curriculum Review & Development Committee (ECRDC) of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
